Come learn the process of making your own sauerkraut and kimchi through the wonders of fermentation. This hands-on food preservation workshop taught by UMaine Extension volunteers and staff will teach you the basic steps for fermenting. Learn the basics, such as preserving equipment, recommended recipes and ingredients, and enjoy the ease of fermentation. You will start a batch of sauerkraut and/or kimchi (your choice), learn the steps towards fermentation, and take your first batch home to finish.
