We are thrilled to be offering our third season of summer camp in 2026!

Each camp session is 4 days long (Tuesday - Friday, 9-3) and always includes activities around gardening, cooking, art/creativity, and helping others, as well as free play time. Each week also features its own unique theme which influences some (but not all) of our daily activities. At farm camp, we play hard, get dirty, eat good food, and get creative in nature with friends!

More Details

The cost per session is $350, which can be paid up front or divided into three payments (the final one due on May 1).

Some scholarship funds are available; please email us at frinklepodfarm(at)gmail.com for more info.

We value the relationship-building that happens during the magical four days (or more) of camp! For this reason, we keep our numbers low: a maximum of 20 campers per session, with a counselor:camper ratio of 1:4.

We provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. All our participants must be able to participate safely in our programs. If your child utilizes the support of a one-on-one professional during the school year we welcome this support at farm camp.

Camp happens OUTSIDE! We do use an indoor space for inclement weather (hard rain & wind) and high temps. Campers can choose to use a Portapotty or our indoor restroom.

Our second year of hosting Summer Camp, 2025, was a BLAST!

Not only did we have the funnest kids, and the coolest counselors, ever, but we also were joined by some amazing community members who shared their passions and skills with us!

  • Rachel Rivera, sound healer & music teacher, visited us as the Forest Fairy Queen, immersing us in a sound bath and an exploration of her magical instruments.

  • Artist, writer/illustrator and naturalist Rebekah Lowell taught us all about monarch butterflies.

  • We learned about using worms for composting at home with Mark of Worm Mainea, who brought us our own bin of red wigglers!

  • Local singer-songwriter Jason Roman led us in writing a song all about Frinklepod Farm!

  • Josh of Spark’s Ark introduced us to a menagerie of live, rescued animals including a boa constrictor, hedgehog, owl, chinchilla, and tortoise.

  • We learned all about wolves, coyotes and foxes from Tammy Cloutier who leads the community science project Canids of Maine.

  • Chris Gahm, along with Josie & Moose, taught us how to safely meet a new dog.  (Chris is the owner and lead coach at Arundel’s best kept secret, Livfit Athletics.)

  • Patsy Hemeon of Community Outreach Services (COS) taught us about how their food pantry works and how to run a food drive.  (Our drive then brought in 186.2 pounds of food - thank you to our community!!)

  • The wonderful volunteer crew of the Seashore Trolley Museum helped us imagine “the olden days” with trolley rides and a tour of the museum.  We bartered for this experience with a bag of vegetables and homemade snacks for each of their volunteers.

  • Alex Pine shared their Japanese heritage with us by teaching us Taiko drumming, origami, and hand-rolled sushi.

  • Maddie of Food Empowerment Project shared art activities that got us thinking about water use, conservation and ocean habitats.

Thank you to everyone who helped make camp such a special experience for all of us, and stay tuned for info about our 2026 season!

Flora Brown, camp director & counselor

Farmer Flora founded Frinklepod Farm in 2012 with her partner, Noah, with the dream of growing amazing food while also growing and cultivating a sense of community with educational and social gatherings. A mom of a teen and a tween, she has also taught in a variety of school, afterschool and camp settings. Flora loves providing space for lively conversations, thrives on creating moments of joy and curiosity for all ages, and relishes the opportunities when people (maybe the whole group?) can try something new. In her off-farm time, she loves live music, swimming in nature, libraries, and playing with food and flowers.
